South China: colourful Guangxi and Yangshuo
Experience the spectacular landscape of South of China. The province of Guangxi is especially known for the Karst Mountains and its winding rivers. On this 10-day journey you and your family will experience the highlights of this warm, beautiful region. The biggest minority here are the Zhuang, with 32% of the population in Guangxi. The officially recognized nationality belongs to the Tai-people, who are spread all over Southeast Asia. The journey first leads towards the southwest of the province, close to the Vietnamese border. The Detian Waterfall even stretches over into Chinese and Vietnamese territory. Highlights of this tour are a boat ride in Yangshuo along the Li River, past the Karst Mountains on a bamboo raft, and the Dragon Backbone rice terraces, a masterpiece of agriculture that rises up to 1,000 meters in altitude. We concentrate on this tour on making South China, especially Guangxi, accessible to you. Activities like hikes and bike tours are numerous and are offered on this tour. An active holiday for everyone.
Optionally, you are able to book two days in Hong Kong before continuing the journey towards Guangxi.
Guangxi offers beautiful natural landscapes and unique karstic rocks, such as the imposing waterfalls of Detian on the border with Vietnam or the sublime and renowned rice terraces of the Dragon’s Back. The region is home to a large number of caves, nature reserves, and coastal landscapes where nature is lush. The river walks and the visit to the many nearby minorities (Miao, Bai, Zhuang …) make Guangxi a relaxing and culturally enriching journey, much to the rhythm of Chinese legends. Finally, the border regions with Vietnam, Guizhou, and Hunan present unique natural and cultural riches in a particularly preserved atmosphere. The route of this province offers varied landscapes for an authentic Chinese experience.
